obsession

Compulsive preoccupation with a fixed idea or an unwanted feeling or emotion, often accompanied by symptoms of anxiety.

i am obsessed with hitting 10, 000 songs on my itunes
i currently am at 7,500 songs
it won't be long
and i will have hit the mark
after i reach it
what will be next
listening to all 10,000?
Mission Impossible?
That's roughly three solid weeks of music~~~non-stop

HARD WORK

Ecclesiastes 3:22
So I saw that there is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work,
because that is his lot. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?

I love good, sweaty, productive, passionate hard work. I love the challenge and the purpose...keeping in mind.....what I will see after my time.
It's Monday AM~~~ work it hard!

in case you were wondering the song

The billionth song ”Speed of Sound” was purchased as part of Coldplay’s “X&Y” album by Alex Ostrovsky from West Bloomfield, Michigan and as the grand prize winner he will receive a 20-inch iMac, 10 fifth generation iPods and a $10,000 gift card good for any item on the iTunes Music Store. In addition, Apple will establish a scholarship to the world-renowned Juilliard School in his name to commemorate this milestone.

“I hope that every customer, artist and music company executive takes a moment today to reflect on what we’ve achieved together during the past three years,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Over one billion songs have now been legally purchased and downloaded around the globe, representing a major force against music piracy and the future of music distribution as we move from CDs to the Internet.”

Let it snow

A good friend of mine and I went birding in Palmyra, NJ this afternoon. This was of course after digging out my house, our church and driving to my dad's and digging him out as well.....
then we went and walked thru 8"-12" snow to find this Saw-Whet owl. They are very small and docile. This one was about 8" from top to bottom. We watched it for about 30 minutes then hiked out....it got dark and that's when we watched a fox playing in the snow....it was a great way to spend the afternoon.

CHARGE!

it has been said that i fight every battle

and it has been said that this is a good thing

sure i like to fight

i love giving what i have

and it isn't about winning as much as it is about playing

i have also gone to great personal pains to learn and adapt to humility

i am not always successful and sometimes i am

there are times to pick up your sword and CHARGE and their are times to lay it down

when you lay it down..........keep it within reach
