A good friend of mine and I went birding in Palmyra, NJ this afternoon. This was of course after digging out my house, our church and driving to my dad's and digging him out as well.....then we went and walked thru 8"-12" snow to find this Saw-Whet owl. They are very small and docile. This one was about 8" from top to bottom. We watched it for about 30 minutes then hiked out....it got dark and that's when we watched a fox playing in the snow....it was a great way to spend the afternoon.
